More than 90% of Shooting Star sales are private transactions and not reported in the MLS system or on other web sites. This allows our clients to benefit from our unique perspective when buying or selling real estate in Shooting Star.

John has been the president of Crystal Springs Ranch, the developer of Shooting Star, from its inception in 2002. Under his leadership, Shooting Star has added 400 members since opening in July of 2009 and achieved over $420 million in club revenue and developer real estate sales.
From 1995 to 2003, John was president of Granite Ridge Development. In 1991, he founded JH Ski Management and engineered a four-party transaction that ended five years of litigation and brought new ownership to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. From 1992 to 1995, he served as president of the Resort.
In 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, John was the top producing broker in Teton County, leading all brokers in sales volume. He was also the leading broker in Teton County in 2001 and again in 2007, when he was named one of the top 20 real estate sales professionals (measured by sales volume) in the country by the Wall Street Journal. In addition to Shooting Star, John also represents buyers and sellers of resort and ranch properties
John received a B.A. from Williams College, a J.D. from Case Western Reserve Law School, where he was editor and chief of the law review, and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
He has served on several boards, including the boards of St. John's Hospital and the Teton County School District. During his tenures, he helped oversee the financing and construction of St. John's Hospital and Nursing Home, St. John's Professional Office Building, the Wilson Elementary School and the Jackson Hole High School. John and his wife, Kitty, currently sit on the board of City Kids Wilderness Project.
They live in Wilson and have five adult children.

Tara, born and raised in Jackson Hole, became part of the Shooting Star team in early 2012. As a licensed Wyoming real estate agent, Tara has represented dozens of clients selling and purchasing land, cabins and homes within the Shooting Star development. While Tara is part of the team that exclusively represents the Shooting Star development, she would be happy to assist you with your real estate needs elsewhere in Teton County.
Tara is a graduate of Jackson Hole High School and the University of Wyoming. She is a proud Wyomingite and is committed to preserving the beauty of Jackson Hole and balancing that with the needs of a growing community. Although Tara enjoys traveling the world with her husband, she insists that her favorite part of almost any trip is getting off the plane at the Jackson Hole airport and getting her first look at the beautiful Teton range.

Mike joined the Shooting Star team in 2009 and is primarily focused on membership and real estate sales. Although his focus is on Shooting Star, he is knowledgeable of properties throughout Jackson Hole.
Mike has a long history with the Club as he was Tom Fazio's design associate during the planning and construction of the Shooting Star golf course. Mike worked for Fazio Golf Course Designers for eleven years and was based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mike was dedicated to making Shooting Star the premier golf course that it is today, by assisting Tom Fazio on all of the design work.
Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, he attended Michigan State University where he was a member of the University's golf team. He received his degree in Landscape Architecture and graduated in 1998.
